By becoming a Member of the Federation House Commitment (FHC), companies agree to the following:
- Provide data on water usage of each participating company site to Hyder Consulting within three months of joining (a modified schedule can be arranged for multi-site companies).
- Construct a water balance[1] for each site.
- Develop cost-saving water reduction action plans within six months of joining.
- Deliver against action plans.
- Report on water and costs savings to Hyder on an annual basis.
Hyder will work closely with FHC members (on behalf of WRAP), assisting them through each step of the process, and will report aggregate industry progress annually, in a form that maintains Member anonymity.
[1] A water balance is a numerical account of where water enters and leaves a business, and where it is used, and is constructed with a six-step procedure.
