The Federation House Commitment (FHC) is an agreement by companies in the Food & Drink Industry to reduce water usage within their company, and by doing so, to help work towards an overall industry-wide water reduction target of 20% by the year 2020. Any company in the Food & Drink Industry is invited to join as a Member.
Under the FHC, food and drink companies pledge to review their on-site water use and take action to reduce it. Companies signed up to the initiative can work with Envirowise to review current water use and develop site specific action plans to significantly cut water use and costs within six months of signing up to the commitment. Members will report annually to Envirowise on water and cost savings made on-site.
With its water efficiency expertise, and experience of working with food and drink companies, Envirowise will play a central role in helping Member Companies by providing expert advice on implementation measures. Envirowise will also act as an independent administrator of the commitment.
All Envirowise support is provided free, in confidence, and bespoke to a company’s needs.
